The Kambria Global Grand Challenge 2019 is a series of hackathons in several different countries with a focus on creating the Ultimate Personal Assistant using advanced Artificial Intelligence and Robotics technology. Utilizing the Kambria platform, developers will collaborate to deliver solutions for our partners including top corporations in Vietnam such as SSI, VPBank, and VTV, with a chance to win up to $50,000 USD in prizes. To support this Global Grand Challenge, Kambria plans to purchase $50,000 USD worth in KAT from the market to be distributed to hackathon participants.

The Artificial Intelligence and Robotics industries are developing at a rapid speed. According to a report by IDC (International Date Corporation), a research organization, the robot market will reach $135 billion in 2019. With the application of AI, robotics technology is set to become a big industry in the very near future.

The Kambria Global Grand Challenge is an opportunity for programmers and AI solution providers to innovate according to the actual needs of Robots and AI in the world. The competition is also an opportunity to connect participating teams, helping to build a global community of programmers in the AI and Robotics industry.

The Challenge will be held in many different countries tentatively including Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Korea, Japan, China, India, Russia, and the United States. The final round of competition among the best teams in each country will be held in Vietnam. This year, the competitions will be sponsored by our partners in Vietnam, including major corporations such as SSI, VPBank, and VTV. Participants will receive challenges and data from our partners to create intelligent virtual assistants based on AI and Robotics applications which can be applied in many areas such as banking services, shopping in stores, merchants, and e-commerce.

During the Challenge, Kambria will hold meetings to introduce the program and meet AI community members in the host countries. To participate in the Challenge, programmers will register, form teams, and submit their projects on Kambria’s platform. Teams are required to use KAT tokens to access and use Kambria’s platform resources.

Kambria Foundation plans to purchase $50,000 USD worth in KAT from the market to support the program.

To provide background and support to the participating teams, as well as more information on practical topics, Kambria will host workshops guided by both leading experts and representatives from our sponsoring companies.

The total prize value of the program is up to $50,000 USD. In addition, after the Challenge, the winning team will have the opportunity to gain funding, and continue to develop and improve the product under the guidance of a team of leading experts, professors, and technology researchers within the Kambria Network.

This is the first of a series events that Kambria will host in a line of hackathons and bounty programs, centered on catapulting innovation in this space. This is an open invitation to all developers, so if you, or someone you know, is interested in developing artificial intelligence or robotics, come and join us as we shape the world’s tomorrow. We can’t wait to see what we can build together.
