Wow! This week has flown by. In case you missed it, here’s a look at our progress for the week including planned and past events to grow and activate the Kambria community worldwide including a blockchain dapp development workshop held in conjunction with TomoChain.

Blockchain Dapp Development Workshop

Want to learn how to build Dapps? Well, this is your chance. On April 6th, Kambria, TomoChian, and Alpha Blockchain will host a workshop in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam called How to Build Blockchain Applications. Through the workshop, we will showcase how the Kambria platform will be used by developers and hackers to form teams and submit their projects to our hackathon later that month. Click here to grab your ticket.

PAST EVENTS

Sharing Kambria’s Vision

Recently, Kambria’s CEO, Thuc Vu, and Head of Special Projects, Dhana Pawar, were invited by Lehigh University to a dinner sponsored by Enjin, The Stanford Faculty Club and Abobe. There they met with 15 Japanese CEOs interested in AI & Data Science who learned about Kambria’s vision and approach to robotics. Thuc also shared information about our new programs such as the Global Innovation Fund, our Open Innovation Hubs, and the way we collaborate with industry and academia. Of course, we brought our Ohmni telepresence robot for attendees to experience. Collective gasps of excitement filled the room! To read more about the event and to see pictures, click here.

Dr. Tra Vu Presents at Hacker Dojo

On March 20th, Kambria’s COO, Dr. Tra Vu, spoke about Consensus and Decentralization at Hacker Dojo in Silicon Valley as part of a 12-week blockchain series. Tra discussed the different aspects of decentralization and distributed networks, as well as, the variety of different approaches blockchains are using to reach consensus across their networks. To watch the full presentation, click here.

Dhana Pawar Teaches Students About Lean Marketing

On Thursday, March 14th, Kambria’s Head of Special Projects, Dhana Pawar, hosted a webinar for students at the University of Birmingham (UoB) in England as part of the Nasdaq Entrepreneurial Center’s board program. Dhana led students through a hands-on workshop about Marketing on a Budget — how to develop a go-to-market strategy for your company after investing in product development and other aspects of a business.

PUBLICATION: The Role of Hackathons in Corporate Innovation

Next month Kambria will launch its Global Grand Challenge, a series of hackathons with a focus on creating the Ultimate Personal Assistant using Artificial Intelligence and Robotics technology. This series is a great way for corporations to source new tech for their business thanks to ambitious developers who undergo an intense innovative process over the course of a few days.
