About the Kambria Open Innovation Network (OIN)

The Kambria Open Innovation Network (OIN) is an umbrella network that brings together initiatives, programs, partners, contributors, and communities that have been developed, supported, or connected through Kambria’s open innovation activities over time.

OIN serves as a shared ecosystem reference, reflecting the breadth of collaboration across technology, education, and social impact initiatives rather than a single, unified program or organization.

This documentation site functions as a directory and knowledge archive of the OIN ecosystem.

What OIN Is

OIN is a network-level view of Kambria’s initiatives and collaborations, including:

  • Programs launched or facilitated by Kambria

  • DAOs and experimental collaboration models

  • Partner organizations and community contributors

  • Education, hackathon, and ecosystem-building initiatives

OIN provides visibility into how these initiatives relate to one another historically and structurally, without prescribing a single way of working across them.

What OIN Is Not

To avoid confusion, OIN is not:

  • A standalone program with unified rules or governance

  • A single participation or onboarding framework

  • A centralized decision-making body

  • An operational manual for individual initiatives

Each initiative within OIN defines its own participation model, governance structure, and collaboration processes, which are documented separately in their respective materials.

Purpose of OIN Docs

The primary purpose of OIN Docs is to:

  • Serve as a directory of initiatives within the Kambria Open Innovation Network

  • Document teams, partners, contributors, and advisors across initiatives

  • Preserve institutional memory of programs, experiments, and collaborations

  • Provide contextual understanding of how Kambria’s initiatives have evolved

What You’ll Find in OIN Docs

This documentation site includes:

  • Team
Information about the Kambria team supporting and stewarding the Open Innovation Network.

  • Program Network
A structured overview of initiatives associated with OIN, such as DAO Experimentation Program, Kambria DAOs, Social Impact Innovation Alliance, EduKATion, KO Hackathon, VAGC and Advisory networks.

  • Stars of the Year
A recognition section honoring Outstanding Contributors of the Year across OIN initiatives.
This section highlights individuals and organizations who have made meaningful contributions through leadership, execution, coordination, knowledge-sharing, or community-building during a given year.

Each program or initiative listed here may have its own dedicated documentation, where details on participation, governance, workflows, and operations are defined.

How to Use This Documentation

Use OIN Docs to:

  • Understand the landscape of Kambria-linked initiatives

  • Identify partners, contributors, and communities across programs

  • Navigate to initiative-specific documentation for deeper details

OIN Docs is designed as a reference point, not a step-by-step guide for joining or operating within an initiative.
