Social Impact Innovation Alliance (SIIA)

The Social Impact Innovation Alliance (SIIA) is a network of organizations working to create positive social, environmental, and economic change through innovation. Convened by Kambria as part of the Kambria Open Innovation Network (OIN), SIIA brings together organizations that are actively creating impact in their communities.

We believe that meaningful impact grows through collaboration. By connecting organizations across sectors and regions, SIIA offers a network where organizations can grow and create greater impact together. SIIA Members can:

  • Learn from each other
  • Share opportunities, new partnerships, practical insights across their communities
  • Find new channels to scale their impact, including Kambria programs such as the DAO Experimentation Program (DEP) and the Capacity Exchange DAO (CED)

Shared Values

Member organizations share 4 core values:

  1. Social Impact Innovation: A clear mission to create positive change through innovation, addressing real social, environmental, or economic challenges in people's lives.
  2. Ethical Practices: Ethical standards, and responsible, inclusive use of technology.
  3. Scalability and Sustainability: A perspective on how to grow their impact and sustain their work over the long term.
  4. Collaboration and Partnerships: Willingness to work with like-minded organizations and take an active part in the Alliance community.

What SIIA Members Get

  • Peer exchange: Present your work, discuss current challenges, and receive constructive feedback, ideas, and potential solutions from other members.
  • Shared opportunities: Calls from Kambria programs and from other SIIA members, such as partnerships, volunteer needs, and program openings, delivered in one place.
  • Pathways to Kambria programs: Early information and guidance on programs where your organization can take part. For example:
    • Applying to DEP as a project, with a DAO as a new channel for scaling impact
    • Joining CED Theme Programs as Guides or Explorers
  • Visibility: Showcase your organization's work in the SIIA member directory on OIN Docs, organized by sector.

Alliance Activities

SIIA brings members together through regular events and ongoing online engagement, creating opportunities to exchange knowledge, build connections, and collaborate beyond individual events.

1. Quarterly Themed Events

SIIA organizes quarterly Reconnection events, each focusing on different themes relevant to social impact innovation and members' interests. These events provide opportunities for members to:

  • Exchange knowledge and insights: Learn from organizations working across different sectors and regions.
  • Explore collaboration opportunities: Connect with potential partners, supporters, and organizations with shared goals.

2. Ongoing Online Community Engagement

SIIA encourages members to stay connected through [https://discord.gg/GXfm7xjcrV] and host cross-sharing activities, creating an active space for continuous interaction.

3. Opportunity Digest

A curated collection of opportunities from Kambria programs and SIIA members, including partnership invitations, project calls, volunteer opportunities, and community initiatives. Members are encouraged to submit their own opportunities and share relevant calls within their networks.

4. Program Opportunities and Capacity Building

SIIA members can explore more opportunities through Kambria programs, these may include:

  • Joining DAO Experimentation Program (DEP) as a project to explore DAO-based collaboration and impact growth.
