Why do CED choose to build this solution on the Blockchain platform?

  • Today, some big fashion brands like Nike have started using Blockchain to authenticate the authenticity of their products, helping to prevent counterfeits and protect consumer rights. Or in the food industry, companies like Walmart are applying Blockchain to track the origin of food, from farm to table, ensuring food safety and hygiene.
  • CED, following the Kambria DAOs model, develops Applications on the Blockchain platform with the goal of building a community-owned technology model. In which the community is empowered to make decisions based on the advantages of Blockchain such as trust, transparency, and automation. On the other hand, the application of Blockchain in intellectual property management will allow open-source solutions to be commercialized by their communities.
  • Developing on Blockchain also helps the community participating in the solution (Guides and Explorers) to operate and interact with each other from anywhere in the world more easily.

How long does a Session last?

  • The standard duration of a Session varies from 20/30/40/50 minutes.
  • To ensure the quality of Session content, CED specifies:
    • Guide must attend at least 80% of the standard Session duration. If the Session lasts less than required standard duration, CED will ask the Senior to confirm that the Session has been completed.
    • On the other hand, if Guides or Explorers are late by more than 30% of the Session duration, or are absent for over 30% of the Session, CED will automatically terminate the Session to avoid disrupting the user experience.
  • Guides and Explorers can extend the Session beyond the standard duration if both parties agree.
    • For example, if the conversation is engaging and enjoyable, and both Guides and Explorers wish to continue, they can propose and agree to extend the Session. However, if one party cannot adjust their schedule or does not wish to extend, they can decline.
    • The extension time cannot exceed 60 minutes beyond the registered Session time (e.g., if the Session is registered from 3:15 PM to 4:00 PM, the Session will automatically end at 5:00 PM if extended).

What kinds of topics can I explore?

Right now, CED places a strong focus on 3 categories:

  1. Business & Professional Connections
  2. Technology & Digital Literacy
  3. Psychology, Mental Health & Spiritual Development.

In the near future, these focus areas will continue to grow, and new categories will be added as our users’ needs evolve, which could include:

  1. Personal Development
  2. Educational & Academic Support
  3. Creative Collaboration
  4. Social & Cultural Exchange
  5. Social Impact & Volunteering
  6. Hobbies, Crafts, and Culinary Arts
  7. Mind Sports, Strategies and Cognitive Development

Can the Guide and Explorer swap roles?

  • Yes - Guide and Explorer can absolutely swap roles.
  • CED platform is designed as a two-way system, where any user can be a Service Provider (Guide) in one session and a Service User (Explorer) in another session.
  • Every user must have at least one active role, but can turn the other on or off as needed. And Users cannot disable both roles at the same time.
  • This is a core feature of CED - fluid capacity exchange - everyone has something to learn and something to share.

Who determines the Guides’ expertise level?

  • Primary flow: The Guide self-declares their expertise by uploading certificates and selecting a proposed level.
  • Final decision: CED Admin will review the uploaded certificates and assign/approve the Guide’s official level based on CED’s publicly published framework.
    • Level 1: Short-term certificate
    • Level 2: Bachelor-level
    • Level 3: Master-level
    • Level 4: Doctorate-level.
  • The admin’s approval is required to finalize the level.

Why this approach?

The CED team believes that it balances transparency (public framework + guide-provided evidence) with quality control (admin review) to reduce misclassification, and enhance the user experience while exchanging knowledge and capabilities.

What happens if the Guides’ certificates expire or is invalid?

  • If a certificate is no longer valid, CED will downgrade or lock the Guide’s higher-level permissions, but the Guide’s profile and data remain.
  • The Guide will receive a clear notification explaining the reason for the downgrade (e.g., certificate expired, found invalid).
    • For expired certificate: CED will handle via review (the team does not auto-revoke purely on expiry unless there’s a rule to do so); the system relies on reports and admin review for enforcement.
    • For fraud / invalid certificates, CED will treat them as critical. The team will lock high-level permissions immediately and follow escalation procedures (further investigation, possible sanctions).

Are experience-based experts recognized even without official degrees?

  • Yes, but with caveats.
  • CED’s level assignment is primarily certificate-based at launch to ensure transparency and consistency.
  • Any Guide is encouraged to add detailed profile fields (About / Experience / Activity) and collect community ratings and reviews; these elements will be visible to Explorers and used for reputation.
  • Planned improvement (hybrid approach)
    • The model recommends evolving to a hybrid scoring system that combines:
      • Formal certificates (credibility)
      • Profile experience & portfolio (practical expertise)
      • Community ratings and reviews (social proof)
    • This hybrid model is intended to fairly recognize high-skill practitioners who lack formal academic degrees.
  • Current operational implication
    • Experienced-based experts without degrees can still:
      • Host sessions (at levels admin allows),
      • Build strong profiles and portfolios,
      • Earn high ratings that surface them to users, while admin may assign a level conservatively in the short term.

Can a Guide offer multiple session durations (e.g., 40 minutes for basic and 50 minutes for advanced), or is each Guide restricted to only one standard duration?

  • Yes, a Guide can offer multiple session durations, as long as those durations correspond to expertise levels that are equal to or below their assigned level.
  • For example, a Level 3 Guide may create sessions with durations for Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3 (20/30/40/50 minutes depending on the mapping). However, they cannot create a session with the duration assigned to Level 4, since that exceeds their verified expertise level.
  • This allows Guides to offer both basic and advanced sessions within the scope of their qualifications.
