Overview of CED

About CED - Exchange Skills, Knowledge and Experience Across Various Domains

Capacity Exchange DAO (CED) is a global platform that enables people to exchange skills, knowledge, and experience across multiple domains through 1-1 connection sessions.

Based on the TECD connection model, CED operates as a two-way platform where any user can be a Service Provider in one session and a Service User in another.

CED organizes all exchanges into diverse categories such as Personal Development; Educational & Academic Support; Business & Professional Connections; Creative Collaboration; Social & Cultural Exchange; Social Impact & Volunteering; Technology & Digital Literacy; Hobbies, Crafts & Culinary Arts; Mind Sports & Cognitive Development; and Psychology, Mental Health & Spiritual.

CED remains committed to listening and learning from our users. As their needs evolve, we will continuously expand our categories to create a richer, more diverse space for exchanging.

Join CED as a Guide and/or an Explorer

One of the unique features of CED is that you don't have to choose just one role.

Most members participate as both Guides and Explorers, depending on what they want to learn or share.

Role What You Do
Explorer Learn from experienced Guides through personalized one-on-one sessions.
Guide Share your expertise by hosting live sessions and helping others achieve their learning goals.

You can enable one role or both within your account, giving you the flexibility to learn in one subject while guiding others in another.

Join CED as an Explorer

Explorers join CED to learn from people with real-world knowledge and experience. Whether you're preparing for university, advancing your career, improving your communication skills, exploring a new interest, or tackling a challenge in another field, CED connects you with someone who has already been there.

During the July–August 2026 pilot, every Explorer receives two complimentary Sessions to experience CED before deciding whether to continue.

Expertise Levels & Session Duration

CED uses a transparent expertise framework so Explorers understand the qualifications of every Guide before booking.

Guide Level

Qualification

Typical Session Duration
Level 4 Doctorate or equivalent expertise 20 minutes
Level 3 Master's degree 30 minutes
Level 2 Bachelor's degree 40 minutes
Level 1 Short-term certificate or equivalent qualification 50 minutes

Session duration reflects the Guide's verified expertise level rather than the value of the Session itself. A highly experienced Guide may require less time to address a question effectively, while newer Guides may benefit from longer conversations.

How Learning Happens

Every CED Session is a live, one-on-one online conversation between a Guide and an Explorer. Unlike traditional online courses, Sessions focus on practical questions, real experiences, and personalized guidance.

Each Session includes:

  • A clearly defined learning topic.
  • A verified Guide with relevant expertise.
  • Live conversation through video.
  • AI-assisted device set-up and technical support.
  • Flexible participation from anywhere.

Standard Session durations are 20, 30, 40, or 50 minutes, depending on the Guide's verified expertise level and the type of Session offered. If both participants agree, Sessions may be extended beyond the scheduled duration.
