Collaboration & DAO Structure

Estimated reading: 4 minutes 206 views

1. Will there be opportunities for collaboration across different DAOs, and how can we participate in them effectively?

At the moment, within the DEP 2025 program, there are no projects that officially belong to more than one DAO. However, you are absolutely welcome to join activities of another DAO as a local volunteer whenever that project needs support.

2. Can DAO facilitate investor or partner linkages for our projects to ensure sustainability?

For now, the DAO will focus on connecting DAO members with Local Delivery Partners to collaborate on this cohort’s projects and build initial impact. This ensures activities are practical, well-supported, and community-rooted with relevant resources. For Nourish DAO, we have 2 local delivery partners that will be introduced to DAO members in Discord.

After the first cohort, we will also discuss with participants and partners about potential opportunities for further collaboration, including exploring pathways toward sustainability such as investor or partner linkages.

3. What are the clear responsibilities of these roles: Proposer, Executor, Supporter?

Within each group, there are different roles:

  • Proposer – the person who puts forward project ideas and drafts proposals. In the Onboarding phase, everyone will set to be the "Proposers", contributing to the preparation of the proposals, and some are "Supporters", based on your reference when you filling the application form
  • Executor – the one who helps make things happen on the ground.
  • Storyteller – the person capturing stories, photos, and narratives from the project.
  • Documenter – responsible for tracking, reporting, and keeping records.
  • Supporter – flexible contributors who help wherever they are needed most.

4. How will the Connect DAO team be structured (roles: coordination, communication, follow-up, documentation)?

When working on the proposal, we will suggest the key roles based on your profile and the interest you have shown in your application. Each team can still discuss and change the roles later following our swapping roles policy.

5. Will the teams be regional or global?

Teams are assigned based on your locations, but they are still considered global because members within each region often come from different countries. This way, teams can balance local context with international perspectives.

6. Are there more visibility and pitching opportunities beyond this program?

If you are asking about showcasing your personal projects, you can add more information on your DAO Intro Card. If you mean the projects you participate in under DEP, there will be summary publications after the program ends, as well as a Showcase Event where you can present your experience and project outcomes.

7. How to improve on-ground activities when members in different locations are not active?

To strengthen on-ground activities when members are spread across different locations, we will take a more flexible and localized approach.

  • First, DAOs can form local working groups so members in the same geographic area can coordinate and execute on-site tasks more smoothly. All activities will continue to be clearly documented, ensuring that remote members can still support planning, reporting, and storytelling even if they cannot be physically present.
  • Members are also encouraged to take on roles that match their availability, for example, focusing on on-site execution if they are local, or contributing to digital and coordination tasks if they are remote. When local participation is low, DAOs can shift a portion of the work toward remote-friendly tasks such as logistics planning, communications, writing, or documentation.
  • Finally, based on Cohort 1 feedback, future cohorts may group members by similar regions or time zones to improve coordination and reduce operational friction for on-ground activities.

8. How about we allow the DAOs to come from one geographical area, so we have smooth operation and activities?

Geographical clustering can improve onsite coordination, but we must balance it with Kambria’s decentralized, global-first model.

A hybrid approach will be considered:

  • DAOs remain global for decision-making and governance.
  • Local hubs or sub-groups handle on-ground execution.

This preserves diversity while improving practical collaboration.

9. Will DAOs in future cohorts be grouped by geographic area or timezone?

Yes! This is being explored.

Based on feedback from Cohort 1, future cohorts may cluster working groups by geographical area or similar time zones to improve coordination and operations.
