XDAO Quick Start Guide

Submit proposals, vote, and manage DAO activity

XDAO is the platform you’ll use to collaborate with your DAO: propose actions, vote on them, and receive funding when approved.

You don’t need to know any coding or crypto mechanics - just follow this guide.

 

Step 1: Open Your DAO Page

Each DAO has a separate link on XDAO (check DAO-specific links in Onboarding Hub page). 

Open your DAO’s page using Chrome with MetaMask installed.

Step 2: Connect Your Wallet

1. Click Connect Wallet (top right)
2. MetaMask will pop up - approve the connection
3. Make sure you are connected to the correct network (Polygon)

You’re now inside your DAO space.

Step 3: View Proposals

1. On your DAO page, scroll down to the Proposals section

 

2. You will see a list of current and past proposals with:

• • Title
  • Status (Activated, Expired)
  • Voting deadline
  • Votes summary

Click any proposal to view full details.

Step 4: Vote on a Proposal

“Create Proposal” voting

1. Go to tab Activity - section DAO Community, find the Proposal you are voting and click Vote

 

2. Review details and click Vote

 

3. A voting option box will show as below. Choose your answer and click Vote.
You can change your vote during the voting period (by voting with another answer).

 

4. Voting is closed at End time

“Send Token” voting

1. Click into a voting

2. Read the description carefully

3. Click Sign if you would like to vote for the proposal

 

4. MetaMask will prompt you to confirm (no gas fee if it’s a voting-only action)

5. Your vote is submitted

You can only vote once per proposal, and each member has equal voting power.

For DAO Facilitator: Activate Proposal to send payment

• Voting can be activated by a DAO facilitator when the quorum is reached.

• Confirm on MetaMask to Activate

Payment transaction

• After the proposal is activated, payment is auto-processed (Send Token USDT as proposed).
• You can view Transaction info in tab Info - section Transaction history

• Click on Transaction ID to view transaction details on Polyscan

Step 5: Submit Your Own Proposal

(For budget requests or action approval)

1. Initial Proposal with Budget Request

1. Click Create Proposal

2. Fill in:

• • Title: Follow the voting title format below
  • Description: Proposal details. Use the provided Proposal Template from the Proposals and Reporting page
  • This proposal seeks approval only — no funds transferred yet

 

3. Add Voting answers:

• Single Choice or Multiple Choice
• Answer options: Yes / No / …

 

4. Voting token address: click GT Address to auto fill-in -> using DAO GT Address to vote

 

5. Voting period: Start and End time, then click "Create Proposal"

• Set a 7-day voting period

 

6. Create voting -> Confirm on MetaMask

 

7. Proposal voting is created. Participants can start voting from Start time. 

2. Payment 1 — Send 60%

• After approval, the DAO facilitator uses the Send Token feature
• This initiates a new vote to send 60% of the total budget
• 3-day voting period by default

3. Payment 2 — Final 40%

• After submitting your report (via the DAO Report Submission Form) and facilitator review, a second Send Token vote is created to transfer the remaining 40%
• This vote is only activated if the report is qualified

Step 6: After Proposal Approval

1. Receive Funds: You’ll receive the first 60% upon Send token vote passes
2. Execute Your Action:

• Carry out the action exactly as described in your proposal
• Take photos, save receipts, and track your outcomes

3. Submit Your Report:

• Use the DAO Report Submission Form (check DAO-specific links in Onboarding Hub page).
• Make sure the report is complete and follows the expectations

4. Receive Final 40%:

• If your report is approved, a second token transfer (Payment 2 vote) will be initiated

If the report is not qualified, the DAO will not proceed with the final payment

 

Voting Title Format

Use clear titles for easy recognition. Max 60 characters:

• Mint GT: Add member [Participant name]
• Burn GT: Remove member [Participant name]
• Create Proposal: Proposal [Proposal name] by [Participant name]
• Send Token (Payment 1): Proposal Payment 1/2 – [Proposal name] by [Name]
• Send Token (Payment 2): Proposal Payment 2/2 – [Proposal name] by [Name]

Tips & Reminders

• Always confirm you’re on the correct network (Polygon)
• Proposals must include clear goals, budget, and execution plan
• Use the official templates and submission forms provided
• Never share your wallet’s Secret Recovery Phrase
