DEP Partner Alignment & Termination Policy

Estimated reading: 2 minutes 10 views

The DAO Experimentation Program (DEP) thrives on active, transparent, and values-aligned partnerships. This policy outlines how we address situations where a partner’s participation becomes inactive, misaligned, or contrary to our collaboration principles.

1. Purpose

To maintain the integrity and impact of the program, all partners are expected to actively contribute in accordance with:

  • The Partner Collaboration Timeline agreed upon during onboarding
  • Relevant partner guidelines (e.g., Outreach Partner Guide, Local Delivery Partner Guide)
  • DEP’s core values of decentralization, transparency, and collaboration

This policy ensures fairness, accountability, and respect for all parties.

2. Grounds for Review

A partner may be subject to review if any of the following occur:

  • Prolonged inactivity without prior notice (e.g., no engagement in agreed-upon activities for more than one full phase)
  • Repeated failure to follow the Partner Collaboration Timeline or agreed deliverables
  • Misalignment with DEP values, including public misrepresentation of the program (e.g., claiming ownership instead of partnership)
  • Misconduct such as unethical behavior, discriminatory actions, or breach of trust
  • Non-compliance with Kambria branding, content, or promotional guidelines

3. Review & Communication Process

  1. Initial Check-in - Kambria will contact the partner to clarify the issue and offer support to realign.
  2. Improvement Period - Partner will be given up to 2 weeks (or one program phase, whichever is longer) to address concerns.
  3. Final Review - If no improvement is demonstrated, Kambria may:
    • Adjust the partner’s role and commitments
    • Place the partnership on hold
    • Conclude the partnership

4. Effects of Termination

If a partnership is concluded:

  • The partner’s name and logo will be removed from the DEP website and promotional materials
  • The partner will no longer have access to partner-only channels, calls, or documents
  • Any ongoing collaborative activities will be formally closed or reassigned

5. Reinstatement

Partners who have addressed the reasons for termination may request reinstatement in future cohorts. Decisions will be made based on program needs and past collaboration history.

6. Respect & Professionalism

All communications and actions under this policy will be conducted respectfully. The goal is always alignment and improvement first - termination is a last resort when collaboration is no longer mutually beneficial.
