DAO: Reflection DAO – Group D (10 members, $1,000 allocation, target: 334 reflections/stories)

 

1. DAO Alignment

  • Goal: Facilitate 6 story circles (online + offline) and produce a mini Reflection Zine with 20 stories from DAO participants and community members.

  • Relevance to DAO Mission: Directly contributes to Group D’s target of 334 reflections/stories, supporting Reflection DAO’s collective goal of 1,000 reflections.

  • Tone & Spirit: Promotes learning, cross-cultural understanding, and knowledge sharing within and beyond the DAO.

 

2. DAO Member Involvement

  • Decentralized Participation: Group D members are based in Kenya, Vietnam, the Philippines, and Nigeria.

    • Local members in Nairobi (Kenya): Facilitate two in-person story circles with youth and elders.

    • Remote members:

      • Facilitate online circles via Discord (with translation support).

      • Collect and edit stories from their regions to include in the Reflection Zine.

      • Support layout and design of the zine.

  • Collaboration Plan:

    • Group lead in Kenya organizes the offline circles.

    • Remote members co-lead online circles and design reflection templates.

    • All 10 group members contribute at least one story for the zine.

 

3. Feasible & Responsible Plan (aligned with DEP Timeline)

  • Oct 10: Submit proposal via XDAO.

  • Oct 11–24: Proposal qualification and DAO member voting.

  • Oct 25: Proposal approved → receive first 60% payment.

  • Oct 26 – Nov 30 (Execution Phase):

    • Week 1: Prepare reflection guide and zine template.

    • Week 2: Host 2 online story circles (via Discord).

    • Week 3: Host 2 in-person circles in Nairobi, Kenya.

    • Week 4: Host 2 more online circles; collect stories from remote members.

    • Week 5: Compile, edit, and design the Reflection Zine.

  • Dec 1: Submit Proposal Summary Report (stories collected, reflection outcomes, zine draft).

  • Dec 5: Receive final 40% payment after verification.

6. Reflection & Learning

  • Reflection Component:

    • Use reflection templates for each story circle.

    • Collective DAO debrief on Discord to analyze cross-cultural themes.

  • Contribution to DAO:

    • Stories feed directly into Reflection DAO’s final zine.

    • Insights shared in the All-DAO Execution Sync meeting.

 

7. Proper Submission Format

  • Proposal submitted via XDAO on Oct 10.

 

8. Collaboration with External Communities or Partners (Optional)

  • Partner with a local youth arts collective in Nairobi for venue and facilitation support.

  • Collaborate with translation volunteers for cross-lingual story sharing.
