The DEP Execution Sync Meeting on November 28, 2025 was filled with energy, meaningful conversations, and a strong sense of collective purpose. It created a valuable moment for all groups to come together, share their progress, and reflect on the impact they are creating.

Letโ€™s revisit some of the key highlights from the DAOsโ€™ sharing sessions.

Grow Together DAO

Letโ€™s take a quick look at the ๐ฅ๐š๐ญ๐ž๐ฌ๐ญ ๐ซ๐ž๐ฉ๐จ๐ซ๐ญ๐ฌ ๐Ÿ๐ซ๐จ๐ฆ ๐ญ๐ก๐ž ๐Ÿ ๐†๐ซ๐จ๐ฎ๐ฉ๐ฌ ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐†๐ซ๐จ๐ฐ ๐“๐จ๐ ๐ž๐ญ๐ก๐ž๐ซ ๐ƒ๐€๐Ž.ย

Group A strengthened powerful grassroots partnerships with KWS, KFS, the Catholic Diocese of Kisumu, and the Manyatta Social Justice CBO, enabling meaningful on-ground action. Through four Climate Action Workshops and coordinated efforts across Impala Sanctuary and Manyatta, the team planted over 500 trees and connected with more than six DAO members through online skill-sharing. The experience underscored a core lesson: real community impact depends on trust, clear expectations, and deep collaboration with local partners who know the land best.

Group B successfully planted 500 native Narra sprouts across the Mt. Balagbag watershed, working alongside BESI, Bantay Gubat Rangers, students, and local volunteers despite typhoon disruptions, unstable slopes, and complex on-site conditions. They ensured full logistical support - from tools to monitoring funds - to sustain the trees from December to March. Their reflection highlighted a key reality of decentralized teamwork: aligning time zones and working rhythms is essential for effective execution. Together, their resilience and coordination created a foundation of long-term environmental impact for future generations.

Nourish DAO

Led by Gibrilla Sesay, shared an inspiring update on their effort to deliver 500 nutritious meals to vulnerable families across Freetown. With strong coordination, they surpassed their goal and reached 530 people in need. Photos and videos revealed heartfelt gratitude and genuine human connection throughout the distributions. The team also ensured full transparency through careful documentation and ongoing guidance from their Facilitators.

Led by Gerald Sanoy, successfully delivered 1,000 nutritious meals to children in isolated communities of Siargao Island despite three typhoons and challenging island logistics. Through close collaboration with mothersโ€™ groups, youth volunteers, community leaders, and Espoir School of Life, they completed a five-day implementation benefiting 382 children. Even with difficult boat travel, harsh weather, and volunteer illnesses, the team stayed fully committed. Their reflections highlighted deep fulfillment in seeing children nourished and communities come together through shared purpose.

Reflection DAO

๐“๐ก๐ž๐ข๐ซ ๐ ๐จ๐š๐ฅ: capture 50 meaningful reflections from DAO participants across Grow Together, Nourish, and Connect DAOs, turning stories from tree planting, meal distribution, TECD sessions, and community-led initiatives into collective knowledge.

Despite delays caused by timeline shifts in other DAOs and inactivity within their own team, Reflection DAO stayed committed, refining their collection tools, coordinating cross-DAO outreach, and establishing clearer processes. So far, ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ’ ๐ซ๐ž๐Ÿ๐ฅ๐ž๐œ๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐ฌ have been collected and organized into a shared repository, marking an important step in preserving the voices, insights, and lived experiences of DAO members.

Key learnings highlighted the importance of:
โ€ƒโ€ข consistent follow-up
โ€ƒโ€ข synchronized timelines
โ€ƒโ€ข active engagement
โ€ƒโ€ข early preparation and communication

Though the initial target has not yet been reached, the team reaffirmed their dedication to continue gathering stories as Execution Phase activities unfold, ensuring the impact of this cohort is captured with depth and honesty.

Connect DAO

Letโ€™s dive into the ๐ง๐ž๐ฐ๐ž๐ฌ๐ญ ๐ฎ๐ฉ๐๐š๐ญ๐ž๐ฌ ๐Ÿ๐ซ๐จ๐ฆ ๐ญ๐ก๐ž ๐‚๐จ๐ง๐ง๐ž๐œ๐ญ ๐ƒ๐€๐Ž

Connect DAO is supporting Seniors through digital literacy and memory game Sessions, using the TECD platform as a space for meaningful intergenerational connection.

Facing early challenges in outreach and platform usability, the team chose to adapt rather than step back โ€“ refining onboarding, working through technical issues, and building trust through clear, patient communication. These efforts have enabled ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ” ๐’๐ž๐ง๐ข๐จ๐ซ๐ฌ ๐ญ๐จ ๐š๐œ๐ญ๐ข๐ฏ๐ž๐ฅ๐ฒ ๐ญ๐š๐ค๐ž ๐ฉ๐š๐ซ๐ญ ๐ข๐ง ๐ฉ๐ข๐ฅ๐จ๐ญ ๐’๐ž๐ฌ๐ฌ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐ฌ so far.

The journey reinforces a clear insight: for Seniors, digital inclusion is not only about technology, but about empathy, clarity, and steady human support. With lessons continuously shaping the approach, the project remains on track to deliver
