Purpose

• The Guide remuneration is paid monthly, calculated based on the number of completed Connection Sessions in the month (see more in the CED’s Compensation Mechanism for Service Providers). 
• The mechanism for recording completed Sessions aims to determine the number of valid completed Sessions and the number of incomplete Sessions (along with reasons, to support complaint resolution if any). 

Conditions for recording a completed session

1. The Guide must participate for at least 80% of the standard Session duration (20 / 30 / 40 / 50 minutes per Expertise level).
   
   The participation time is calculated based on the total time both users are present on at least one device simultaneously (if one user leaves a device but continues participating on another and both are still present together, that time is still counted). 
2. Participants must not be more than 33% late to join the Session. After that, CED will automatically terminate and record the Session as incomplete. 
3. In cases of unexpected incidents (e.g. power outages) causing one party to be disconnected from an ongoing Session: similar to being late, the disconnection duration must not exceed 33%. If it exceeds 33%, CED will automatically terminate and record the Session as incomplete. 
4. In cases where the minimum required duration (80%) is not met and the reason is not covered in Point 2 or 3: the application will display a prompt asking the Explorer to confirm whether the Guide has completed the Session. The confirmation window is 3 days; if no response is received from the Explorer within that time, the Session will be recorded as completed. 
5. Participants may extend the Session beyond the standard duration if both agree. For example, if the conversation is engaging or enjoyable… both parties can propose and agree to continue the Session. However, if either party is unavailable or unwilling to extend, they may decline.
   
   The extended time must not exceed 60 minutes beyond the registered Session time (e.g. if scheduled from 3:15 PM to 4:00 PM, then the Session will automatically end at 5:00 PM if extended).
