The DAO Experimentation Program (DEP) is an experimental initiative facilitated by Kambria. By participating in DEP, you acknowledge and agree to the following.

1. Regulatory context

  • DEP operates globally, with participants from many countries.
  • Kambria does not provide legal, tax, or financial advice.
  • Each participant must ensure their participation complies with the laws and regulations of their own jurisdiction, especially those relating to digital assets, payments, and data protection.
  • Kambria does not guarantee that DEP activities are compliant in every country — participants should seek local guidance if needed.

2. Nature of DEP

  • Experimental program. DEP is a short-term experiment with DAOs for social-impact projects. It is not an investment program, and DAO tokens are not offered as securities or financial products.
  • Funding. Each DAO's seed funding is limited to the amount communicated (e.g., $3,000 per DAO). There is no guarantee of ongoing funding beyond the program's scope.
  • No financial advice. Nothing in DEP materials or communications should be considered financial, investment, legal, or tax advice.

3. Roles and responsibilities

  • Kambria's role. Kambria acts as a facilitator — providing tools, coordination, the framework, and documentation. Kambria does not directly manage project execution or supplier and partner relationships.
  • DAO members. Each DAO is self-governed. Its members are responsible for submitting proposals, executing approved work, reporting outcomes, and ensuring compliance with relevant local laws.
  • Suppliers and partners. Any agreements or transactions with suppliers or partners are managed directly by the DAO. Kambria is not a party to these contracts.

4. Data and privacy

  • DEP participation involves collecting personal data (applications, proposals, reports, and more).
  • This data is processed under Kambria's Privacy Policy and the DEP Privacy Notice.
  • Participants are responsible for ensuring that any content they submit (stories, photos, videos) complies with local laws and respects the rights of third parties.

5. Limitation of liability

Kambria and its team members are not liable for:

  • Losses arising from DAO member activities, supplier or partner relationships, or third-party tools (e.g., MetaMask, Discord, XDAO).
  • Any participant's non-compliance with local laws or regulations.
  • Risks inherent in blockchain use (wallet loss, private-key mismanagement, transaction errors).

6. Activities involving minors

Some DAOs may run activities that involve people under the age of 18 (for example, in schools).

  • Kambria does not deliver or supervise these activities. DAOs that work with minors must follow the Child Safety & Safeguarding Guidelines, obtain valid written consent from parents or guardians (and schools where applicable), and comply with the child-protection and data-protection laws of the country where the activity takes place.
  • Responsibility for safe, lawful delivery rests with the DAO conducting the activity.

7. Updates

This Disclaimer may be updated to reflect regulatory developments or adjustments to the DEP framework. Updates are communicated through the DEP Docs.
