DEP 3 runs across five phases, from preparation in the second half of 2026 to a closing showcase in mid-2027. Each phase builds on the last: preparing the ground, bringing in the projects and people, getting them ready, doing the work, and sharing what came of it.

Overview

 The cohort is run rolling, overlapping with the close of Cohort 2 — preparation begins while Cohort 2 finishes. Dates may shift as the cohort runs; this timeline gives the shape and sequence.

Phase 1 — Preparation

Kambria lays the foundation the cohort will build on.

•   Publish the DEP 3 concept and documentation, and define how the cohort will run
•   Prepare the Owned Lanes materials — Launch Kits, proposal templates, the All-DAOs Sync format
•   Ready the Kambria DAOs Framework for its first live cohort, including the operational checks that protect participants while it proves itself
•   Set up the shared workspaces — Discord, Drive, XDAO — and the recognition configuration for KAT
•   Prepare the Call for Projects and the Call for Participants

By the end of this phase, the cohort is structurally ready for projects and people to join.

Phase 2 — Call for Projects & Participants

The cohort opens — first to projects, then to people. The order matters: the DAOs are decided before members are recruited, so that people join a mission they chose.

First, the Call for Projects. Kambria invites social-impact projects to join as participant-proposed DAOs — selecting those that have a working innovation, proven regeneration, and a real community behind them. Alongside them, Kambria's own model DAO, the Capacity Exchange DAO, continues.

Then, the Call for Participants. With the DAOs set, members are recruited into the cohort knowing which DAO they are joining — so they can align with a project's mission and bring relevant experience. Returning participants from earlier cohorts are warmly encouraged to take part.

Reaching potential participants is supported by Kambria's Ambassador Spotlight Program, which carries the call out into wider communities. Partnerships that individual DAOs need for their work are not arranged here — each DAO pursues its own partnerships during execution, as part of developing its project.

By the end of this phase, the DAOs and their members are confirmed.

Phase 3 — Onboarding

Members get set up, get to know each other, and organise into lanes.

•   Set up tools and access — wallets, Discord, Drive, XDAO — with guides and peer support for anyone new to Web3
•   Organise each DAO into its scopes and lanes, and form the pairs who will own them
•   Hand over each lane's Launch Kit, and orient members to how the cohort works
•   Draft the master plans and lane proposals, guided by the DAO Facilitators
•   Hold the Kickoff — the first All-DAOs Sync — to bring the whole cohort together before execution

This phase ends with every DAO organised, every pair formed, and proposals ready to go.

Phase 4 — Execution

The heart of the cohort: each DAO does its work, scaling its project's impact through community.

•   Submit proposals through XDAO and vote, tracked openly — the qualified proposals move into execution
•   Run the lanes: pairs own their work, supported by the weekly per-DAO check-in and monthly All-DAOs Syncs across the cohort
•   Release seed funding monthly — contributor payments through the Kambria DAOs Framework, operating costs through the DAO treasury
•   Each DAO pursues the partnerships and business development that serve its project
•   Recognise contribution with KAT, applied by each DAO under its Facilitator's guidance
•   Track progress against each DAO's impact goals — reach, depth, and self-propagation — and keep field notes alongside the numbers

During this phase the Kambria DAOs Framework grows with the cohort: revenue-flow automation is in place from the start, with contributor payments and revenue-sharing added as the framework advances through the phase.

By the end of this phase, each DAO has carried its work through and documented what came of it.

Phase 5 — Summary & Showcase

The cohort closes by bringing its work together and sharing it.

•   Each DAO produces its summary — what it did, what it achieved against its impact goals, and what it learned
•   Members reflect on the experience — what they made, what surprised them, what they carry forward
•   The cohort gathers for the Showcase — the final All-DAOs Sync — presenting outputs, stories, results, and honest learnings, including what didn't work

The Showcase marks the completion of Cohort 3.
