Partnership FAQ

Estimated reading: 3 minutes 72 views

In DEP 3, partnerships are owned by the DAOs. This page answers the program-level questions. For the details of partnering with a specific DAO, see that DAO's own partnership pages — and, for DAO members running partnerships, the DAO Partner Outreach Playbook.

Who do I partner with — Kambria or a DAO?

You partner with a DAO. Each DAO defines, invites, and manages its own partners. Kambria organizes the DEP program the DAO takes part in; it is not a party to your partnership.

Is this a paid partnership?

Not in the sense of Kambria paying partners for outreach or representation — the partnership role itself is not a paid engagement.

Think of it instead as an exchange of value that the DAO and the partner define together, so it works for both sides. Each partnership sets its own give-and-get: a reach partner lends its relationship with an audience, and its members gain access and opportunities; a support partner funds a DAO's work or contributes its own people, and receives impact reporting, recognition, co-branding, and alignment with its own mission or CSR goals. See Partner With Us for the two common shapes.

Can we take part as individuals instead of an organization?

Partnerships are for organizations, collectives, and communities, with one representative as the main contact. If you are an individual, you are very welcome to take part as a participant instead — see Join the Program (Call for Participants).

What counts as an "organization" or "community"?

It does not need to be a formal company or NGO. A community, network, club, or initiative that you lead or actively coordinate works too — the DAOs partner with both formal and informal collectives.

How do I start a partnership, or talk to someone?

Start with the DEP 3 DAO Partnership Interest form — it asks which DAO you'd like to partner with and routes your interest to that DAO's team, so both sides can follow up.

Not sure which DAO fits? Browse the DAO Projects Overview first, then choose it in the form. The DAO is your point of contact, not Kambria.

How is our contribution recognized?

By the DAO you partner with — through its collaboration network, its reporting and showcase, and a partner certificate. Recognition is contribution-based and non-transactional, reflecting real engagement rather than symbolic sponsorship.

What is the time commitment?

There is no fixed requirement; it is flexible and agreed with the DAO based on your capacity. Some partners engage throughout, others selectively or mainly as connectors and advisors. The Partner Collaboration Timeline page shows the shape a partnership typically follows.

What are DAO and DEP?

A DAO (Decentralized Autonomous Organization) is a community with shared goals whose members propose, vote, and execute transparently, with the help of blockchain-based tools — the program uses a platform called XDAO for this.

The DAO Experimentation Program (DEP) is Kambria's open-innovation initiative exploring how decentralized communities can co-create real social impact through collective intelligence, transparent coordination, and co-ownership. You can read more in the Concept Note.
