Submitting an Appeal

Estimated reading: 2 minutes 42 views

What is an Appeal?

When using TECD, an Appeal allows you to provide clarification or respond after receiving a notification that your content, session, or account has been reported and restricted due to a violation of community standards.

If you believe there has been a misunderstanding or an incorrect action, you may submit an appeal for the TECD team to review. TECD will re-evaluate the case and respond to you within 3 business days.

Note:
You can only submit an appeal if your case is not classified as a “SEVERE CASE” (serious violation, such as sensitive content). If it is a SEVERE CASE, you will not see an appeal button in the email notification.

Step-by-Step Guide to Submitting an Appeal

Table of contents

You will receive an email from TECD notifying you that your content (topic / session / profile) has been restricted.

The email will include:

  • Which content was affected
  • The violation reason
  • Admin’s note
  • The action taken (content removal, account lock, etc.)

If you wish to respond or provide clarification, click the “Appeal Now” button directly in the email.

You will be redirected to the TECD appeal page

If you are not logged in, the system will ask you to:

  • Enter your account email
  • Enter your password to verify your identity

Once logged in, you will see the Appeal Details screen.

Please read all information carefully before submitting your appeal. This page includes:

  • The title of the content being restricted
  • The type of violation (e.g., misinformation, inappropriate language…)
The current status of the report in the TECD system

Enter your appeal reason.

In the Appeal Reason box, clearly explain:

  • Why you believe your content does not violate the guidelines
  • Or how you plan to adjust/update the content
  • Any additional context you want TECD to consider

Note: This is a required field in order to submit your appeal.

Click “Submit Appeal”

Once submitted, you will see a confirmation message from TECD indicating that your appeal has been successfully received.

The TECD team will review the violation report, re-check the related content and make a new decision if necessary.

You will receive an update after the review is completed.
