KAT Tokenomics DAO

Estimated reading: 5 minutes 26 views

Mission

The KAT Tokenomics DAO is responsible for designing and piloting the KAT Reward & Privilege Framework for multi-stakeholder participation across Kambria’s ecosystem.

This includes recognizing contributions from:

  • DAO Members

  • Community Collaborators

  • Partners & institutions

  • Ambassadors (internal & external)

  • Volunteers

  • Customers / users (e.g., CED participants)

  • KAT holders participating in non-financial governance experiments

Unlike the activity-oriented DAOs, the KAT Tokenomics DAO delivers technical and conceptual infrastructure that enables decentralized, regenerative DAOs in future cohorts.

Its mission is to prototype how KAT can be used ethically, transparently, and symbolically (non-financially) for:

  • Contribution recognition

  • Identity and role progression

  • Access, privileges, and community participation

  • Cross-DAO engagement

  • Early circular value flows

  • Multi-stakeholder collaboration

This DAO creates the cohort-wide foundation that supports the Cultural & Creative DAO, Exchange DAO, and Participant-Proposed DAOs.

Core Deliverables

The KAT Tokenomics DAO will produce four key outputs:

1. KAT Reward & Privilege Framework

A structured system defining:

  • Multi-stakeholder participation
(DAO members, partners, ambassadors, volunteers, customers, KAT holders)

  • Contribution categories & rules

  • Suggested ranges for symbolic KAT issuance

  • Non-financial privileges

  • Recognition logic

  • Governance, safety, and ethical guidelines

The framework must be clear and implementable by all DAOs.

2. MVP Web-Based Dashboard (Prototype)

A simple dashboard visualizing symbolic KAT flows across the ecosystem:

  • Contribution history

  • Stakeholder categories

  • Tier progression

  • Cross-DAO participation

  • Privilege unlocks (non-financial)

This demonstrates how a multi-stakeholder token system can function cohesively.

3. Testnet Smart Contracts (Symbolic Only)

Lightweight smart contracts deployed on test networks to demonstrate:

  • Symbolic KAT issuance

  • Tier or privilege logic

  • Event-based recognition

  • Cross-DAO interactions

  • Contribution-based identity mapping

These contracts must be sandboxed, non-financial, and safe for experimentation.

4. Pilot Integration Across Cohort 2

The Tokenomics DAO will support and integrate its framework across:

  • Cultural & Creative DAO

  • Exchange DAO

  • Participant-Proposed DAO

This includes training, templates, and iterative improvement from pilot feedback.

Why This DAO Matters

DEP 2 introduces regeneration thinking.

The KAT Tokenomics DAO provides the technical + philosophical foundation for sustainable value loops in future cohorts.

It helps answer questions crucial for Kambria’s evolution:

  • How can token-based recognition support community growth?

  • How can DAOs track value creation across stakeholders?

  • How do we ensure token use remains ethical, non-speculative, and contribution-driven?

  • How can a symbolic token reinforce regeneration?

  • How does this prepare for Cohort 3’s automated flows and Kambria’s Meta-DAO vision?

This DAO sets the foundation for future revenue models, ecosystem bridges, and identity-driven governance.

KAT Rewards (Suggested)

(Suggestions only — final rules are set through DAO proposals.)

Action Suggested KAT
Drafting a framework section 12 KAT
Leading a co-design workshop 15 KAT
Designing dashboard UI/UX 12 KAT
Building smart contract prototypes 15–20 KAT
Writing documentation / technical notes 10 KAT
Supporting another DAO in tokenomics adoption 10 KAT

Suggested Tools

  • Figma / Miro — Framework design, UI/UX flows

  • Google Docs — Framework documentation

  • GitHub — Smart contract repositories

  • Remix / Hardhat — Smart contract development

  • Google Sheets — Tracking contributions, issuance logs

  • Discord — Collaboration and weekly syncs

  • XDAO — On-chain voting and fund disbursements

Working Structure

The DAO is encouraged to form Working Groups such as:

  • Framework Design Team

  • Dashboard & UI/UX Team

  • Smart Contract Team

  • Cross-DAO Integration Team

  • Feedback & Evaluation Team

Members may join multiple groups based on capacity and skillset.

Integration With Other DAOs

Cultural & Creative DAO

→ Support symbolic recognition for creators, curators, documenters, and storytellers.

Exchange DAO

→ Design recognition logic for Guides, Explorers, partners, and external participants.

Participant-Proposed DAOs

→ Customize reward logic reflecting diverse project structures.

The Tokenomics DAO gathers feedback from all DAOs to refine the framework and prepare for future expansion.

What Success Looks Like

  • Completed KAT Reward & Privilege Framework

  • Functional prototype dashboard visualizing symbolic KAT flows

  • Testnet smart contracts deployed and demonstrated safely

  • Adoption and testing inside 3 DAOs

  • Clear documentation, diagrams, code samples, and improvement notes

  • Cross-DAO understanding of symbolic KAT recognition

  • A roadmap for automated, regenerative flows in future cohorts

Partners & Collaboration Opportunities

This DAO welcomes contributions from:

  • Blockchain developers

  • UI/UX designers

  • Web3 communities

  • DAO governance researchers

  • Academics in blockchain or digital community design

  • Social impact organizations exploring token systems

  • Ambassadors and partners interested in multi-stakeholder value flows

Reflection Invitation

Tokenomics is not only technical — it is philosophical.

Members are encouraged to reflect on:

  • What principles should govern ethical token use?

  • How can recognition systems avoid competition and remain collaborative?

  • What does a regenerative token economy look like?

  • How do we design for fairness, trust, and inclusiveness?

  • How can symbolic KAT strengthen identity and belonging?

Reflections will be shared across the cohort and included in the final summary.
