Cultural & Creative DAO – The Inspiring Spirit of Our Applicants

After the journey of DEP 1, we are excited to begin a new chapter with DEP 2 - where experimentation begins to translate into real-world impact.

In Cohort 2, participants co-create through four decentralized micro-DAOs, each pursuing both an Impact Goal and a Regeneration Goal (≥ $3,000) through revenue, sponsorship, crowdfunding, or partnerships. Each DAO is mission-driven and time-bound, exploring how decentralized communities can create meaningful impact while moving toward long-term sustainability.

Today, we begin by sharing the inspiring energy emerging from applicants to the Cultural & Creative DAO (CCD).

CCD is a space where members explore how decentralized collaboration can nurture cultural expression, celebrate identity, and sustain creative communities through regenerative funding. Since introducing this DAO, we have been grateful to receive many thoughtful and inspiring applications from individuals who resonate with this vision.

While every story is unique, together they reveal a shared energy around culture, creativity, and community-driven collaboration for social impact.

As the application process continues, several inspiring patterns are beginning to emerge.

Diverse backgrounds, shared purpose

Applicants to CCD come from many regions and professional paths, yet they share a common motivation: to create meaningful cultural and community impact.

Among the applicants:

  • 55% are aged 25–34, representing a generation actively shaping new collaborative models
  • 47.5% come from Africa, highlighting strong engagement from emerging creative communities
  • 75% are early Web3 explorers, curious and eager to learn how decentralized tools can support cultural initiatives

A shared spirit emerging from the applications

Across many submissions, a common spirit becomes visible - one rooted in creativity, collaboration, and community empowerment.

  • About 70% have experience engaging in grassroots initiatives that support local learning, participation, or cultural expression
  • Around 62% use storytelling, media, or creative practices as tools for social impact
  • Nearly 65% have helped create spaces where communities can learn, collaborate, and grow together
  • More than 50% describe impact not as a single project, but as a long-term, collective journey

These patterns suggest that CCD applicants are not only creators, but also community builders who believe culture can be a powerful force for connection and transformation.

Voices from the applicants

Behind these numbers are people whose reflections reveal the passion and curiosity driving their interest in CCD.

  • Sameer speaks about building inclusive, community-centered solutions through collaboration.
  • Ronard highlights the power of creativity and platforms that amplify youth voices.
  • Michelle reflects on using whatever skills we have to contribute to something larger than ourselves.
  • Casto shares his curiosity to explore decentralized collaboration for real-world impact.
  • Rafiat reminds us that small but meaningful actions can inspire others to see new possibilities.

Together, these voices reflect a shared desire: to create positive change in their communities through creativity and collaboration.

As the journey continues, we are excited to keep discovering the people, stories, and ideas shaping this evolving CCD community.

And this is only the beginning. 💙
