Collaboration & DAO Structure

Estimated reading: 2 minutes 20 views

1. Will there be opportunities for collaboration across different DAOs?

Yes.

Although DEP 2 DAOs operate independently, members may:

  • Join other DAO activities as volunteers

  • Attend open workshops, showcases, or creative sessions

  • Offer cross-DAO support when appropriate

There are no official cross-DAO projects for Cohort 2, but collaboration is encouraged through community contributions and shared events.

2. Can DAOs facilitate partnerships or sponsor linkages?

Yes - but with clear scope.

DEP 2 focuses on:

  • Connecting DAOs with Community Partners, Knowledge Partners, and Regeneration Partners

  • Facilitating collaboration with external organizations when it supports DAO activities

This ensures impact is practical, locally grounded, and community-centered.

Larger-scale sustainability partnerships will be explored for future cohorts (3, 4).

3. How is the team structured inside a DAO?

DEP 2 uses a clear structure:

  • DAO Lead - supports coordination

  • WG Leads - lead specific working groups

  • WG Members - execute DAO work

  • DAO Facilitator (Kambria) - ensures clarity, alignment, governance support

  • Documenter / Storyteller roles - optional inside WGs

Working Groups (WGs) are created during Master Plan development, not predefined.

4. Will teams be regional or global?

DEP 2 DAOs are global, with members from many countries.

Activities may occur locally or online depending on the WG’s scope.

5. Will there be opportunities for visibility beyond DEP?

Yes. DEP 2 includes:

  • Showcases on the documentation website

  • Partner highlights

  • Summary Event

  • DAO Summary Reports

  • Update & Showcase Page

These help make your work visible to partners, universities, and future collaborators.
