Following the journey of DEP 1, we continue into DEP 2 โ€” where experimentation evolves into real-world impact. Within this journey, Exchange DAO (ED) explores how decentralized communities can learn, share, and grow together through real-time human connection.

Through the Capacity Exchange (CED) platform, participants engage in 1โ€“1 real-time sessions to exchange skills, knowledge, and lived experiences. ED aims to facilitate 500 meaningful exchange sessions, while working toward a regeneration goal of at least USD 3,000 through low-cost sessions, memberships, partnerships, sponsored initiatives, and cross-DAO collaborations.

Applicants to ED reflect a strong alignment around collaborative learning:

  • ~70% are early Web3 explorers, eager to learn and experiment
  • ~60% are students or early-career builders
  • ~75% come from emerging communities, especially Africa & Asia

Across the applications, a clear pattern is emerging: people are drawn to peer learning, mentorship, community coordination, and knowledge-sharing as a form of social impact. Many applicants bring experience in mentoring, facilitation, training, education, community building, and practical support systems โ€” showing strong alignment with EDโ€™s mission of creating meaningful 1โ€“1 exchanges. This spirit appears across diverse geographies including Namibia, Ghana, Palestine, Libya, Kenya, Morocco, Azerbaijan, Nigeria, Malaysia, Ethiopia, Pakistan, Sudan, Timor-Leste, and more.

Some standout stories already reflect the kind of Exchange DAO community that is forming. Asma Amellal shared her experience building structured onboarding protocols, peer-learning circles, and cross-regional learning networks across the MENA region. Edna Kiilu described founding a rural community-based organization with 55 active members and leading grassroots fundraising and coordination efforts. Cynthia Binti Mahadi reflected on volunteer work supporting cancer patients and leading community-based initiatives in Malaysia. Meanwhile, contributors such as Okeke Chinedu Emmanuel, Eneh Mmesoma Precious, and Kaletsidik Ayalew Mekonnen show how prior DAO experience, education support, storytelling, and technical mentoring can all become part of meaningful exchange.

What stands out most is this: people are not only looking to learn โ€” they are also ready to guide, support, mentor, and grow with others. That is the heart of Exchange DAO: a regenerative learning space where everyone has something to offer, and everyone has something to learn.

We are excited to keep discovering the people and stories shaping this evolving Exchange DAO community.
