Discord Use Guidelines

Welcome to the DAO Experimentation Program (DEP 2) Discord workspace. This guide explains how to use the available channels based on your role.

General Principles

  • All Kambria Discord members can view DEP 2 channels to promote transparency and community awareness.
  • Posting permissions are role-based to keep discussions organized and focused.
  • Please use the appropriate channel for your discussion and follow any pinned messages.

Channel Overview

If You Are a DAO Member

As a DAO Member, you actively contribute to your assigned DAO.

You can:

  • View all DEP 2 channels.
  • Post and collaborate in your assigned DAO channel(s).
  • Create and participate in discussion threads within your DAO.
  • Share files, links, polls, and updates related to your DAO.
  • Post in #dep2-general and #dep2-showcase.
  • Join your DAO meeting room and the Community Lounge.
  • React to messages and participate in discussions.

Please use:

  • #dep2-general for general questions or discussions involving multiple DAOs.
  • Your DAO channel for DAO-specific planning, proposals, and execution.
  • Threads to organize discussions on individual topics or tasks.

  • #dep2-showcase to share completed work or achievements.

 

If You Are an Ambassador

As an Ambassador, your role is to promote DEP activities and strengthen community engagement.

You can:

  • View all DEP 2 channels.
  • Post in #dep2-general, #dep2-showcase, and #dep2-ambassador.
  • Follow DAO discussions to stay informed.
  • Join Community Lounge and approved DAO meetings.

Please note:

  • DAO working channels are read-only unless you are also a member of that DAO or have been granted access by a Facilitator.
  • Coordinate campaigns and content in #dep2-ambassador.

If You Are a Partner

As a Partner, you collaborate with the DEP program and relevant DAO initiatives.

You can:

  • View all DEP 2 channels.
  • Post in #dep2-partners.
  • Participate in approved meetings and collaborations.
  • Follow DAO progress and community updates.

Please note:

  • DAO working channels are read-only unless you are directly involved in a DAO initiative.

Voice Channels

Community members outside DEP can see that meetings are taking place but cannot join unless they are granted the appropriate role.

Good Practices

  • Keep discussions in the appropriate channel.
  • Use threads to organize topic-specific conversations.
  • Share completed work in #dep2-showcase rather than DAO working channels.
  • Be respectful, constructive, and collaborative.
  • If you are unsure where to post, start in #dep2-general or ask a Facilitator.

These guidelines help maintain an open, transparent, and collaborative workspace while ensuring each DAO has a focused environment for execution.
